It's Not What You Think.....

Mexican Station

Okay so I had distracted the guy I was dating while he was driving ... and we went the wrong way to get to rocky point, ended up over near Tijuana. After a bit of driving down a Highway, I guess that was empty of life, we found this quickie type station and we went in and asked where the restroom was. The man spoke a huge sentence in Spanish NO IDEA what he said so we asked again and pointed, after another big paragraph of Spanish he figured out we had no clue and pointed out side.

Here is where the bad feeling in my stomach came; y'all know how US outdoor restrooms are at gas stations or rest stops, not so clean. This was walls set up outside on dirt; A line of high walls without doors and the toilet seemed to be wooden. Up the corners of the walls were piles of paper and poop and god know what else, it was dark and I was scared. We parked the car with the lights shining into the walled in toilet and I didn’t even feel I could hover without contracting something. There was no paper to use and everyone around could see what was going down because it was outside without doors and about a second from the highway, thank goodness it was pitch black at night. After I walked in to try and pee I saw things moving...

I couldn't do it so I walked over to the car and peed on the ground seemed cleaner.

I have heard some bad toilet stories from out of country such as hole in the ground in Japan... Anyone else have an out of country restroom experience?

What do you expect its Mexico?

This actually does not shock me at all given you were in Mexico. They are not the cleanest country. I would have done the same thing. Given your explantion it seems better just to use the ground.

I am not a country person so I can't say I have a country restroom experience.
