It's Not What You Think.....

Apparently Peru Has Special Signs

I came across this in a search in google blogs and thought this was great. A blogger for Eco Worldly, Levi Novey, was in Peru and saw the sign in the picture. After seeing the picture, I had to know what it was all about.

Having never been to Peru myself, I did not know the bathrooms there were so dirty. Levi Novey mentions how disgusted he was with them. He explains how toilet paper, soap, and other supplies are stripped from the restrooms by individuals. Mr. Novey also goes on to mention the lack of sanitary conditions within the entire country not just with their restrooms.

After, reading his short blog, I have decided I have no interest in going into Peru. Novey never explains the reason for the sign because he really doesn't know, nor do I.

Do they seriously have a problem with guys completely missing the toilet or just going near it for shits and giggles? Why go in the restroom in the first place, when right on the street could be better?

I know for a fact there is a splash factor, where if your stream is strong or your not aiming in the right place, certain drops will come out of the toilet and land on the floor. I have to say this is ridiculous though. Maybe the guy in the sign is just drunk. Maybe it comes down to they just have a major drinking problem. Based on what Levi Novey said about their society, I would drink a lot, too.

Either way, it is a funny sign.
